The history of nursing education dates back to 1917. In 1979, School of Medicine was Zhejiang Medical University Hangzhou Branch; in 1994, it was Renamed as Hangzhou Medical College; in 2001, it was Incorporated in Hangzhou Normal University and established School of Medicine; in 2004, School of Medicine divided into School of Clinical Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Medical Health Management (renamed as School of Health Management), and Department of Basic Medicine. Until 2013, Above-mentioned schools and the department combined as new School of Medicine. Eventually, in 2014, Institute of Aging Research, Institute of Bio-medicine and Health incorporated in School of Medicine.
